Points or miles per dollar, from each card's own terms. Cards with equal rates share a place and are listed in name order. Different programmes' points are not worth the same.

Card guides

Each card broken down: every credit and when it resets, what to enroll in first, and how much you'd need to use before the fee pays for itself. The guides are being checked; until each one is ready, Unspent shows the same credits for the cards you hold.

Why these cards

Chosen by use. Unspent grew out of friends using it, and so did the best tips here: someone who uses the cards shows us what works, and we check it against the issuer's own terms before it goes on this site.

How it started
"I flew Alaska for years and sat on hundreds of thousands of miles. A friend told me, lovingly, 'You're missing the boat,' and showed me how to move Amex points to airline partners. I've booked with Amex points ever since, because it gets me flights for far fewer points."
Puck, founder of MileHaven, on why Amex cards come first here
Points that moveAmex Membership Rewards points transfer to airline partners, so one balance can book on whichever partner airline prices the trip lowest.
Free award searchAmex Membership Rewards card members get free access to point.me's award flight search at amex.point.me. It shows which airline partner prices a flight lowest before you move any points.Source: American Express Membership Rewards page and point.me help page, read Oct 1, 2026.
Tips from users, checked by usOur own cards came first, then popular travel cards. Every tip and figure is checked against the issuer's terms before it goes here.
Chosen by use, not paymentNo issuer pays us today. If that ever changes, the page will say so next to the link.

Your results will vary. Transfer partners and award prices change, and the best deal depends on the route, the dates and the seats available. point.me's free search covers Membership Rewards points only; you book on the airline's site or through Membership Rewards.

How Unspent works

Free to use. It started as one household's tracker and grew as friends began using it.

Step 1

Add your cards

Pick each card from the list and its credits fill in, with what to enroll in first.

Step 2

Tick what you use

Used a credit? Tick it. Today shows what's still on the table, soonest to reset first.

Step 3

Never miss a reset

See every credit by month for the whole year, and add reminders to your own calendar.

What we ask for, and what we never do

Never asked for

  • Bank logins
  • Card numbers
  • Statements or balances

What we keep

  • Your email and name for sign-in
  • Which cards your household holds
  • Which credits you ticked as used
  • Spend toward caps and bonuses, and any membership numbers you add

Who can see it

  • The people in your household; no other household can read it
  • CR Labs, which runs Unspent, can reach it; it looks only to back it up and fix problems
  • The services it runs on: Supabase stores it and handles sign-in, Render serves the app, Resend sends its emails

How we check cards

  • Figures come from each issuer's own terms
  • We keep a dated record of where each figure came from
  • Anything we haven't read says so
